Todd had monday off of school so we decided to get out and enjoy this beautiful weather! It was absoluetly gorgeous and so green thanks to all the rain we've been recieving. We live right by the U and have heard that there are some pretty cool trails up there. So we were off to explore and see what all the talk was about. They couldn't be as cool as the trails we found in Logan right?
This picture was taken about twenty minutes before the crime took place. We were so happy and just lovin being outdoors to enjoy nature.
We were following the trail, feeling pretty good about our days adventure when we came across an awesome view of the valley. I picked the pace up in excitement, pretty much jogging to the edge to check things out when the undescribable happened. I didn't even hear a noise or anything. . . I just saw this gigantic Anaconda slither out across the trail RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! I was in such shock that I let out a scream and an, "oh my hell!" My heart was racing at about 200 beats per minute and I started shaking.
Todd- the brave beast he is, came to my rescue. He found the biggest rock he could and threw it into the bush where this murderer hid laughing at me, probably waiting for another attack. Todd was speaking all calm and telling me its ok, he was even guarding me, hiding me behind him. I knew at this moment that his love for me somehow knows no limits. Then I realized how funny we must have looked, me hiding behind tarzan from a 2 foot little snake.
I regained my bravery, ran past the bush (literally) and continued on finsihing this hike that we set out to do. I was searching the ground and bushes for the remainder of the hike, in case any of its family members sought revenge. We survived and made it home safely, and felt really good that we did something fun besides grazing all day. Can't get enough of those outdoors!

Oh my. I am right there with you, I still to this day have nightmares about snakes.

It was so fun seeing you the other day. Thanks again for driving over and hanging out with me :)
Glad Todd was there to save you!! Way to be brave and keep on trekin':)
haha you crack me up! Now if that was a spider I would've been freaking out and tyler protecting me, but in the snake situation I would definitely be protecting tyler from the snake haha. I am so glad you liked the cupcakes!
ha ha, You are so funny, BUT I am the exact same. I hate snakes!! Eww... I was mowing the lawn the other day when this little nasty mouse would not go away, I wanted to chop it up in the lawn mower so bad so I didn't have to watch every step I took cause I was not gonna step on that thing, ohhh these nasty little creatures that we hate! Glad you finished your hike though!
