California!!!

Whoo hoo! California was so much fun and a much needed break! It was good to have a week to spend talking Todd's ear off and munchin on candy. Being on your own schedule, getting up when you want to, lounging around and eating whatever is in sight is one of the best things in this world. We were able to get a nice rental car that drove like a champ and it had a GPS system in it so we didn't even get lost once. So here are a few pics. . .

And of course we had to secure our cooler of cokes in. . what would a road trip be without them.
We stopped in Vegas the first night and spent the night at my cousin Charidee's and her husband Alex's house. It was so much fun to see them and talk about what freaks we were as children. So many good times. . .

I attempted to take this shot right as we strapped in on our favorite ride, X2! It was the sweetest roller coaster ever! The chairs flip so on the first drop, it rotates you around so you are facing the ground as you fly down. Todd was in love with this ride. He couldn't stop talking about it and he would get so excited to go on it. My face looks a little creepy in this picture- but Todd looks cute.

We had a really good time! Sometimes I think I have ADHD when driving on road trips. . but Todd told me that I did really good in the car. Its always a little sad when you come back from a fun vacation though and have to face reality. Now we are on a mad search for a new car (mine was totalled if I forgot to mention that.) But we are sure glad we still went!
