Nursing. . .

Sometimes I feel like I just wish my life away instead of enjoying the stage we are in. Last week I decided to quit saying things to myself like, "It will be so nice when I finally finish school, or I'm so sick of being poor, or Is my hair ever going to grow. . . " Don't get me wrong, I am excited for all of these things; but why not enjoy life as it comes. Challenges and struggles come no matter what stage of life you are in, so enjoy everyday and soak up the good times!

Nursing school has been quite a challenge. Much of my time is spent with my nose in a text book (versus the corner from when I was younger) or at the hospital doing clinicals. But I absolutely love it. I am so fortunate to even be able to go to school (since like 6% of the world population gets to do that.) I feel very blessed to be in the nursing program here and to survive with both Todd and I as full time students. I have so much to learn. . but am enjoying the journey!

I thought I would post a few pics from school:

This is one of the cutest girls I know, Mirinda. She is so sweet and we have some good times laughing at eachother and the mistakes we make together! (Check out that sexy mannaquin)

Apparently I concentrate really hard when drawing up meds.
Next, my darling friend lindsey. She is so dang funny and we just look at eachother and start laughing. She is really fun to be around and we enjoy giving eachother weird faces in class and being immature.

This is Alan and Hafsa. I admire Alan cause he works so hard and is now fifty, but so full of energy and dedicated to becoming a great nurse. You can't be around Hafsa and not just love her to pieces. We were lost together for our first clinical rotation.

I can't believe that I am almost half way done with nursing school. It is going by so fast! Today we did a skills pass off and took a pretty tough test. So I'm going to jump off and see if my score is up yet. Hope you all have a great day and enjoy life living in the now!

You are too cute! The funny thing is that you can't wait until school is over but then when it is you will wish you had those moments back. Paul and I love being done with school, having a house, and enjoying this stage in life. But school was so fun and Paul and I talk about the good times back in Logan and sometimes REALLY miss it. Hang in there with nursing and school - it is so worth it!
