It has been a pretty busy week. First of all- its finals week! I finish with my fifth and final final tomorrow at 1:00. I will be so dang excited and can stop being the grinch after that. I think Todd's pretty excited too. He finished on monday, but its just not as fun when one of you still has tests to study for. I am so excited for Christmas! It is my favorite holiday and I just love spending time with family and friends n getting cozy in this cold weather. Last friday we went to Sarah's to start off the holiday season right. We had a little Christmas party and everyone brought white elephant gifts which is always a treat. Pretty much to sum that game up- Steve stole my pop machine cooler and I stole Emily's little hip portable radio that came with the riverdance cd included! Can you believe that! Thanks for letting me steal that Em- we've really enjoyed listening to it in our kitchen while we cook. He he. Well why the boys played rock band- the girls had better things to do.....
That's right- build gingerbread houses! I actually didn't build my own this year (after you see our apartment- you'll understand why.) I just sat there and chatted with the girls and gave them a hard time about their gingerbread houses and helped Sarah build her train.
And the finshed product....... ta da! The little green thing on the corner there is a tree I attempted to make. It was kinda a sad lookin tree, Sarah probably removed it when I left.
Of course the guys came up after a while and ate some candy. Little vultures. Ok so I ate more candy than anyone there, but its cause I could only do so much to help with the train.
A night of fun! I love getting together with our friends! Sarah took this picture at about 1:30 right when we were about to leave. As you can see- we are still eating all the candy. Just putting on our winter weight so we can keep warm.
Well the party was a much needed break. On Thursday- we woke up to a little surprise, our water heater broke during the night and flooded our spare bedroom and laundry room. It didn't just dampin the carpet- it was soaking wet! We moved all our totes and boxes from our spare bedroom and crammed them into our kitchen and living room into any little space we could. It's a good thing we put up our Christmas tree, since you can't even see it smooshed in the corner.
I am a pretty organized person and this clutter is absolutely driving me crazy! We took some stuff over to my sister Ambers to store in her basement (Thanks again Am) and we can still barely get through the little maze. What do ya do huh?

Wow, that really sucks about your carpet!!! So sorry it happened during this time of year, that's a bummer. We sure hope you guys still have a fabulous holiday season! P.S. Adrian is wondering how your Christmas Village painting is going this year.

Oh no! I hate floods... Where I use to live we got them all the time... I'm so sorry I don't wish that mess upon anyone!!! But I hope your finals went well!!
Oh , I am so sorry about your carpet! That sucks! If we lived closer, I'd make my husband go clean it up for you! Ha ha! (My husband owns a carpet cleaning business) Well, hopefully things will be less stressful for ya! Merry Christmas!
