Busy Week

Yeah!!! Dust and Laurs tied the knot! They are such an adorable couple! Their wedding day was just perfect and I could not be happier for them. We feel like they are just family to Todd and I. Lauren looked absolutely beautiful and she was just glowing all day long. I remember sitting in our Logan apartment with them last year, and they told us they were thinking about getting married sometime next year. I can't believe it already came. They are just one of those couples that makes everyone feel welcome around them. They are so genuine and funny, and I rarely see either one of them in a bad mood. We have had sooo many late nights, laugh attacks, long talks and adventures with them and I'm so excited for them to start their new life together!

Us girls anxiously waiting for them outside of the Salt Lake Temple.
I balled like a baby the entire time in the sealing room. They walked in and I lost it. It was just perfect!

Todd and Dust

Mandi was so sweet and flew from Virginia for the wedding! It was so much fun to see her. You can't really tell. . but she is three months pregnant and had the cutest tiny baby bump.

Laurs rollin with the guys!

Aw shux, Love this girl! The reception was gorgeous although you can't really see from this picture.

The Guys. . sexy huh.

Em, Sarah and Mands. . pretty much the cutest girls in this world!

The boys makin a mess of Dustins truck, Brenley (Em and Larrys little one) was even helping.

The Goodbyes! Lauren was so cute and jumped out of the truck to give her parents hugs. I didn't have my camera out in time to catch a shot of her and her dad, but it was the sweetest hug ever. Her cute dad was choked up. (which yes. . got me a little teary again.) Then they were off. . . to enjoy their honeymoon on a Carribean Cruise! I can't wait for them to get home cause I miss their guts.

Friday was my Grandpa's (dads dad) funeral. He had a heart attack on Sunday morning, was rushed to the hospital but was already gone. It has been a really hard week for my dad, but my grandpa's wishes were pretty much granted- that he would never have to go to a nursing home and that he wouldn't start losing his mind. I guess we are getting to the age where we start losing grandparents. My grandma (his wife) is so strong. Although it has been extremely difficult on her, she knows she still has work to do down here. I really admire her strength!
This is my dad placing his boutineer on the casket.

Nolan had a lot of questions on what was going on, so I was trying to explain to him that his spirit is in heaven and his body needs to be buried. He thought it was pretty strange though. I love the age he is at where he is so curious and has so many funny questions.

Well I kinda messed up on posting my pics, but here is the pall bearers carrying the casket. My brother Chris, Todd, brother in law Nick and brother Matt, along with some cousins carried the casket. It was a hard day seeing my grandpa and knowing my grandma is alone now, but I really do believe that there is life after death and that they will be together again.
It was a week of mixed emotions, being so happy for Dustin and Lauren; and then the emotions that come when someone passes away. It just makes ya think a little more about what really is important in life. I can't believe that I start fall semester in 21 days! This summer is just flying by! Hope you all enjoy the next few weeks of Summer!!

How exciting that they got married! I was planning on going to the reception, but my grandma passed away on Tuesday and her viewing was Thursday night. So it sounds like we had some similar things going on this week. I was looking forward to seeing all you guys, I was bummed I couldn't make it. We need to get together for lunch or something for sure before the summer is over!

Wow you had a whirlwhind of emotions this past week! I love weddings! I'm sorry to hear about your grandpa! I'm so glad to hear that he probably didn't suffer, it's hard I know my grandpa suffered with prostate cancer for over 8 years it was really hard. If you ever need anything let me know! We really need to hang out soon!

yay! they got married! Lauren looked so beautiful! I love her dress, and your little pink thing wasn't too shabby either. She cut bangs and her hair was darker right? Well tell them we say hi, if they remember who we are.

Sorry about your grandpa, I know how it goes, and it is weird that we are old enough for this to be happening now...see you soon!!!!
