Slumber Party!

Well here we are.. all alive... My aunt and uncle went out of town for the weekend so Todd and I got to babysitt my cousins. They were like the best kids ever! It was a lot of fun and kids just crack me up. They say the cutest things, you just wonder where they come up with it. On saturday night I was out jumping on the trampoline with my cute four year old cousin. It was dark outside and we heard this cat squeel and it kind of scared him. So I told him not to be scared, that is was just a cat. Then I asked him what other things are scary to him and this was his reply; "Well monsters that I've seen are really scary, but there are some that are nice. If they are wearing a hat, they are nice and you can shake their hands, but if they aren't wearing a hat you should just stay away from them." It was so funny and I have no idea where he got it, but it cracked me up. They will also tell you everything about their parents that I'm sure their parents would rather you not know.

It was a lot of fun, and I'm lucky Todd is so good with kids. On friday night, the cute little baby woke up around 2 in the morning and Todd jumped up to go get her. So I said alright have at it honey (thinking I could fall back to sleep, but of course I couldn't). After about twenty minutes, she was still crying so I got up and right as I was about to the door, I could hear Todd singing to her. It was so dang cute that I just sat there in the hall by the door and listened. It almost made me a little emotional, and just so thankful for such an awesome husband.

Anyways, I just admire all of you cute little moms. Man I felt like I was cooking non stop. As soon as breakfast is cleaned up, you've got to start lunch in an hour. Moms are just amazing!

that is hilarious about the monsters! Kids really do say some funny things sometimes. You will be great parents! Don't you just love it when you get to witness your spouse doing something so special for a child and you think to yourself, wow, I'm so lucky!
