Where do I begin besides- funnest vacation of my life! So several years ago when Todd decided to pursue PT school, I told him when he graduated we could go on a really cool vacation. So maybe I said that thinking that it probably wouldn't really happen, but it did!! And what made it that fun was vacationing with the wild Keeles. If you ever get a chance to go somewhere cool with them, jump on it cause they seriously are such a blast to be with .
We got together with Larry and Emily one night and started brainstorming some cool vacations. About 3 months later, the day had arrived to board the plane.
Destination: An all inclusive resort in the Domincican Republic for a week
I can't tell you how nervous I was to leave my babies, especially my little Payton who was only 4 months old. Gulp. But on the other hand, I feel that it was a very worthwhile thing to do for Todd and I since any alone time is pretty non existant these days. So after much anxiety and crying on my way to the airport- we were off!
Thank you to Emilys sweet mom, we were able to use buddy passes or we would not have been able to afford this vacation. This pic is Emily and I crossing our fingers to make the flight!
Oh my heck- I miss those Keeles!!!! We flew all night (in fact I believe this pic was at like 4am in the JFK airport) and arrived in Punta Cana around 10:00 am
From there we boarded a shuttle and headed to the resort. SOOO excited!
The BEACH! This is what we were all excited for, to hang out on the beach and be lazy for a week. The resort we stayed in was right on the beach and looking back at these pics just makes me miss it, but we did take full advantage of it while we were there.
What else did we take full advantage of you ask, why the pina coladas and bananna mamas of course!
And we ate ourselves silly and enjoyed every bite!
all inclusives are the way to go!
well we did do other things besides eat, like an anventurous morning of kayaking
Em and I took the double kayak and its a good thing we did, its a work out pushing those ores in the Ocean. We were feeling extra brave and decided to take on a few waves, so we rowed ourselves a good half a mile or so out into the Ocean to face our challenge and we were quite impressed with our bravery. We got a little too confident and one wave got the best of us and tipped us right over! Luckily we managed to pull ourselves back on our kayaks (no thanks to our husbands) we thought they were rushing over to help us but they were just coming to tell us that Todd tipped his and Larry rammed into him. We had some good laughs!
It was absolutely beautiful there in Punta Cana! This pic is of the lobby of the resort which was open to the outdoors. We contemplated moving there! The weather was just perfect and I couldn't have asked for a better get away! Next post= our excursions. Diggity Diggity D!

Are you kidding me that you look that good in a bikini with a 4-month-old baby??!!! You go girl!! Looks like you guys had a ton-o-fun, and let's be honest, I'm totally jealous!! We've NEVER taken a vacation just the two of us...especially anywhere exotic! Your boys are so darling. Lovin' Peyton's chubs! :)
I have to agree with the other comment about you in a bikini after only 4 months! Yowza! Looks like lots of fun!!
Okay, this just sealed the deal for me. We've been thinking about taking a trip to the DR and now I am more convinced than ever! Looks like a blast.
You look smokin!
Thats where we were supposed to go for our honeymoon...but I think we just may need to make it happen after looking at these pictures!
What a fun group too!
