Where did that year go????

Our little Dylan turned a year old on June 3rd! I know. I am still wondering how that crept up on us so fast. So I started thinking about what we wanted to do to celebrate the big day. . .Ya know the typical things- A trip around the world? Disney world or maybe a disney cruise for that matter? As my brainstorming got more extravagant, my dear husband reminded me of our small budget. So realistically I started making plans for Dylan's birthday. . . A BBQ with family and friends. In June you should be able to count on good weather right?

Well I started making invitations (first mistake. . they take way too long to make) and Dylan began counting down the days!

So how did the party go you ask?????

Well I guess like any typical one year birthday party.

He was wondering why the heck we would hit the football instead of throw it?

Everyone else enjoyed the candy that he couldn't eat. .. including the adults (Sarah, Amber and Rocky. . yeah we caught ya)

We enjoyed opening his presents more than he did.

He wanted to attack this cake that I made him all day long!!!!!! This picture says it all with his little tongue hanging out! Then when we finally got around to singing to him and letting him rip into it, it was freezing outside, the cake was cold and he didn't want anything to do with it!

In all seriousness, we all had a really great time and he LOVED every minute of it! It was so fun to celebrate Dylans 1st birthday. .. and many more to come. And the ones in the future he will remember! Thanks to eveyone who came and supported our little guy!
