Carving Pumpkins!

Life has been really busy lately so I haven't done a very good job blogging. We have had some really fun times the last little while and Dylan is growing and learning sooo much! He is such a happy little guy and is always smiling! He is curious about everything and has to touch everything in sight. He started rolling and is really close to sitting up on his own now. He has the cutest giggle, and loves other kids, being startled and all our weird voices.
Life changes so much when you have a baby. No one can tell you how it is, it is just something you have to experience to know and understand. Your life is no longer your own but is completely dedicated to these cute little bums. Nothing makes you as happy as they do (even new clothes), and its a different happiness then I've ever felt before. You wonder for nine months what they are going to look like, or how their personality will be? You worry about their health and how you are going to do as a mom. Then you have them and cannot picture life or them any other way. Dylan is the sweetest little guy and has Todd and I completely wrapped around his finger. It has been a big adjustment for me. The last 2 years in nursing school have been insanely busy! If I wasn't at school or studying, I was at the hospital doing clinicals or working. It felt like I just bounced from place to place and Todd was at school or work all the time too. Now I change diapers, feed Dylan, play with toys or try to make him laugh, or load him up to go places which takes an hour in itself. The first month was tough and I felt like I wasn't accomplishing much besides the fact that your body is going through so much and you aren't sleeping at all. I was feeling like I would be a bad mom cause I was going stir crazy being home all the time, and doing the same thing over and over. Then somehow it grows on ya and thats what you want to be doing. You love them so much that you love taking care of them. Although it was quite a drastic transition from what I was doing, I would not have life any other way! Dylan means everything to me and life is so amazing with him!
He has such a cute little personality!!! Here are a few pics of the carving of the pumpkins this year!

Emily and Brenley with there classic pumpkin which turned out quite lovely. Brenley is such a doll, and its so fun to hear her talking!
Hard at work

The finished product. A baby pumpkin for Dylan is about all I could manage this year.

He had a love/hate relationship with his pumpkin. He would touch it and look at it for a minute, and then get sad. It could have been that it was 11:00 at night too???

I love this picture! He has the cutest little frown when he starts crying!
Here are a few other pics of our growing lil guy

These are his best friends right now, his cousins Maya and CJ.

He LOVES being outside. Which kid doesn't right? Luckily we live a field away from my parents now so we get to go outside everyday. He is going to be so sad when winter comes.

We read Dylan stories every night, and he is starting to actually like books now. Or maybe he likes us making fools of ourselves with all our weird voices. He's probably thinkin, "my parents are freaks"

He loves those delicious fingers!

And the camera! Of course we have one of those cameras with a delay, so I have a million pics of expressions ending. Once he sees the camera he just wants to grab it and eat it.
Halloween pics coming soon!

Love the little guy...and you're such a good mom Jeanettie! I doubt he thinks you're freaks...if anything, he is just entertained with the voices you use like Dust and I are. : )

Life is crazy with kids, but it would be very boring without them now that we got them! I love the age they are at right now! So cute, and fun:)

I was just thinking of doing a post saying the exact same stuff. I can't believe how much my life has changed in such a short time!
